The Gen2+ image intensifier is an advanced vacuum photoelectric device that transforms low-light images into clear, visible signals, essential for night vision, surveillance, medical imaging, and scientific research. It operates by converting incoming photons into electrons via a photocathode, amplifying them through a microchannel plate (MCP), and converting the multiplied electrons back into visible light using a phosphor screen. Compared to earlier models, it features upgraded photocathode materials and optimized MCPs, delivering enhanced sensitivity, lower noise, and longer durability.
Encased in a rugged, light-tight housing, the system includes a high-voltage power supply to ensure stable electron acceleration while minimizing power consumption. Its compact, reliable design integrates easily with cameras or goggles, offering superior resolution, reduced distortion, and better performance in low-contrast conditions.
